ABOUT

In the Johnson County and metro KC Area, the name Weaver's is synonymous with tradition, quality, and professionalism. Weaver's & Sons Exterminators was founded in 1960 by Jim Weaver and has since passed down the family ranks to Jim's son George.

George and Marty and their two sons, George, Jr. and Brock continue to operate the business with the help of a professionally certified group of dedicated employees. The company was founded on principles of providing high quality service, creating positive relationships with customers, and meeting the needs of the communities served. These values continue to hold true and the traditions of the company have been honored by the generations of Weavers who have had the pleasure of serving the Johnson County and greater KC metropolitan area for the past 60 years.

Weaver's provides a wide range of pest control services. Not sure what type of pests you have? Weaver's can help! Our staff can come to your location and perform an inspection and provide you with a treatment plan for the pests as well as recommendations for prevention from common pest problems.

Service We Offer

Residential Pest Control

Basic Pest Control for residences begins at $125 for one-time inside and outside treatment.

Roach control services $250 for one-time treatment

One time dusting of attic included for silverfish (by request only)

Services are offered in several ways:

  • One Time Service, Monthly Service, or Quarterly Service and are available by appointment Monday-Saturday. Discounts are available for signing up for monthly or quarterly services (no written contract). (Residential quarterly services $75-$95 depending on size of residence.)
  • Residential services available include basic pest control, specialized pest control, and termite control.
    • *Optional Termite Control warranty is available at a fixed yearly rate renewable for up to 10 years*
  • Weaver's & Sons offers real estate reports for sale of property for $95.00.
  • Ask About our termite special for real estate transactions for wood destroying reports.

We do NOT offer service for yards, trees, bed bugs or mosquitoes.

Weaver's offers a wide range of termite control and treatment options. Optional ten year renewal specials available. Inside and outside, exterior only, baiting and monitoring technology, spot treatments and pre-treatments for new home construction, and additional services available.

Winged Termite or Winged Ant?

When you see "flying ants" and you're not sure whether they are ants or termites, save a specimen and call us.

  • Winged termites have a straight thick waist and are well rounded. Their wings extend far beyond the length of the body. All wings are the same length.
  • Winged ants have a thin waist and are wasp-like. Their wings extend only slightly beyond their body and their forewings are larger than their hind wings.

Termite Facts

  • Termite colonies work 24 hours a day. Worker termites forage for food to bring to the colony through mud tunnels.
  • Termites can travel 130 feet from their colony in search of food, leaving a trail for others to follow.
  • Termites only need a crack 1/64" in the slab floor to gain entrance into your home.
  • Termites eat wood from the inside out, causing the wood to appear normal until it is almost completely destroyed.

Termites and Your Property

  • Depending on the construction of your home, its geographic location, moisture, heat, and soil conditions, today's termite chemicals typically break down in 3 to 5 years.
  • Central heating systems make it possible for termites to live in the adjacent soil year-round.
  • A typical house can have multiple colonies situated under or around it. There can be as many as 2 million subterranean termites per colony causing a real threat to all property.
  • Typical homeowner's insurance does not cover the threat of termites.
  • Protection is likely to cost less than repairs.
